Great, festival. Absolutely wonderful here [...]. It has kept its wonderful charm. Also the fairest prices far and wide! I recommend every Metal fan to have been there once.
Our Stage Area. This is where METAL is. Enjoy the music with a cold beer in your hand. Or fill the beer into yourself and headbang till you get thirsty again.
Lasser Beer Garden
Relaxing atmosphere in our famous Lasser beer garden. Regenerate after headbanging sessions. We serve five different types of beer btw! Pilsener, Dark (Dunkles), Wheat Beer (Weizen), Kellerbier, Guinness.
BADEN IN BLUT is Passion
uilt and etablished in 2005 with 350 visitors, BADEN IN BLUT Festival became the biggest underground heavy metal festival in south-west Germany during the past decade.
By underground, we mean it. We are just a bunch of crazy metal heads organising this festival.
t is our passion to build something unique we can be proud of. Seeing and meeting our metal heroes whose fans we are ourselves. On our very own stage. With proper sound and lighting. A festival we would love to visit.
Commercial success is not our first goal.
ecause there are
no stakeholders or investors. We need to satisfy only ourselves. The feedback of our fans and visitors tells us that we're on the right way..
THANK YOU for your support!
Location and Public Transport
The festival location is located in Weil am Rhein. The city in the very south-western corner of Germany, right next to the border of Switzerland (Basel) and France.
The area is a huge public green area with a lot of trees, some ponds, small watercourses and gardens. It has been established in 1999 as a "state garden show" (Landesgartenschau - LGS) and can be used for public events since then. The location is perfectly reachable by car and public transport. A huge parking area is available just next to the festival area. See details below.
From North A5
On Autobahn A 5, take the exit „Weil am Rhein“. Follow the signs to „Weil am Rhein Centrum“ and later „Drei Länder Garten“. Situated next to the ice rink („Eissporthalle“ ) are the „Dreiländergarten“ and the big parking ground. There will be signs.
From south (Switzerland)
Take Autobahn to Basel. Use exit Basel-Kleinhüningen/Weil am Rhein/Deutschland. The location is just about 2km from the border (Weil Otterbach).
The festival area is perfectly reachable by train or tram. The station is just about 10 minutes walking distance.Main station - „Weil am Rhein“, arrival from Switzerland or northbound or „Gartenstadt“ station - arrival from Wiesental / Lörrach.
There is a Tram (Trämli) line from Basel to Weil am Rhein: Line 8, Bahnhof SBB to Weil am Rhein main station. Duration about 25 minutes.
