LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE were founded in 1993 by guitarist Oliver Nikolas Schmid, who is still the only member who has been there from the start. Julian Larre has been on vocals since 2018. Over the years the gothic metal of the early days turned into dark rock, and the band calls its own sound “Gothcore”.
Their 14th studio album “Lay Me Down O Silent Fear” came out on SPV on 25 September 2026, with “O Silent Fear” as the first single. In autumn 2025 the band toured Europe supporting Paradise Lost.
LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE already played Baden in Blut in 2023, on Friday, 21 July 2023. In 2027 they return to Weil am Rhein.
